Hello everyone, After the introduction of Windows 10 / 11, reverse engineering is becoming harder and harder as most of the legacy applications do not execute or has multiple errors.
I have been using the modified versions of Windows 10 (with all protections removed) in a VM and similarly a VM of Windows XP and Windows 2000 for some legacy applications.
With your experience, what is the best operating system to have for reverse engineer. I prefer a virtual machine because of the ease of use and additional level of protection it offers while executing untrusted code and applications. It is easy for one to revert back the system state by a reboot and start again.
